A GREENOCK hot food takeaway has been given permission to open later. Officials at Inverclyde Council have now approved the request. A supporting statement submitted to Inverclyde Council planning department explained: “The applicant seeks to extend opening hours in response to customer demand. “The earlier closing time of 21:00 places the business at a competitive disadvantage compared to fast-food takeaways within the surrounding area with later trading hours. This indicates that later evening trading is an established and accepted feature of the local environment.”
