As a result, Cena told Styles to hit him with a clothesline to counter the move in order to avoid performing it. Before their match, Cena handed a personal handwritten introduction to announcer Alicia Taylor and requested her to read it out loud. John Cena defeated AJ Styles at Crown Jewel Perth in a match that was hailed as an absolute classic.
