/NewsVolunteers sought for events1 / 2 SANIBEL-CAPTIVA CONSERVATION FOUNDATION 2 / 2 SANIBEL-CAPTIVA CONSERVATION FOUNDATION [expand] closeAs part of this week’s Love Sanibel Back, the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) is seeking volunteers for a Puschel Preserve Community Planting on July 23 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Sanibel and a Tarpon Bay Oyster Restoration on July 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Tarpon Bay. On July 23, volunteers will help plant native marsh and upland species around the new Stanback Wetland Observation Platform. On July 24, volunteers will help restore critical oyster reef habitat by filling buckets with shell material, transporting materials and assisting with reef construction in shallow estuarine waters.
