The union said it had received multiple complaints from students, particularly from the History Honours stream, where a significant number were declared unsuccessful with backlogs.
The union noted that under Nagaland University norms, students are eligible for re-evaluation only if they secure a minimum of 20% marks, or 15 out of 75.
Listing further grievances, the union said the re-evaluation process is often delayed, with corrected results sometimes declared as late as October or November.
The DNSU appealed to all affiliated colleges to ensure transparency and fairness, and said Nagaland University, as a premier institution, “must uphold the highest standards of accountability and integrity.”
“DNSU stands firmly with the affected students and assures that their genuine grievances will be pursued until justice is ensured,” it added.
