A Tuscaloosa man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of a 67-year-old man found in his apartment at Brookhaven Apartments on Saturday, according to the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit. Anthony Markeith Jones, 47, was taken into custody and committed to the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond under Aniah's Law. Jones is charged with murder and illegally possessing a firearm. The Tuscaloosa Police Department's Major Crimes Unit assisted with crime scene processing, and Kennedy said the arrest came after an extensive investigation.
