On Friday, July 11, I had the opportunity to visit and spend the day on Great Captain Island. When I arrived on the island, the staff asked me:“Do you have any water?” I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff on Great Captain Island. They gave me water and food, took wonderful care of me, and treated me with kindness and compassion. I would especially like to recognize:Michael – Lifeguard– Lifeguard Bobby – Lifeguard– Lifeguard Savi – Park Ranger– Park Ranger Kevin – CaretakerTheir generosity and compassion turned what could have been a very difficult day into one that reminded me of the kindness of strangers.
