A month-long investigation into retail thefts throughout Wicomico County has led to the arrest of a Salisbury man on multiple drug offenses on Friday, July 17th. Detectives saw Jones driving through Salisbury and performed a lawful traffic stop – a K9 free-air sniff of the vehicle positively alerted for drugs. A search turned up a quantity of cocaine consistent with distribution and Jones was found in possession of crack cocaine and methamphetamine. Jones is charged with drug offenses in connection with the traffic stop – the investigation remains active with multiple law enforcement agencies and retail partners.
