This mechanism specifically inhibits a key inflammatory switch in the immune system and opens up new avenues for treating chronic inflammatory diseases.
The complex mechanism of NLRP3 inflammasome activation was examined step by step to identify the peptide’s targets.
“The NLRP3 inflammasome plays a role in a whole range of age-related chronic inflammatory diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, neuroinflammation, and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.
