Businesses may register for a manufacturing open house event for high school students in Jo Daviess County. Northwest Illinois Economic Development will hold its annual Manufacturing & Trades Day on Oct. 9 at CTE Academy in Elizabeth. According to an online announcement, the annual event connects local high school students with regional manufacturers, trades, businesses and utilities to explore career opportunities. Businesses can participate by hosting site tours, showcasing their work at the academy, or joining new “utility popups.”
