A political analyst, Imran Wakili, has accused President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC, of betraying former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai despite his role in their political successes. Wakili made the remark in a post on his X handle on Monday, where he argued that El-Rufai was instrumental in Tinubu’s emergence as president and Uba Sani’s election as Kaduna State governor. According to him, El-Rufai was one of the key political figures who helped build the alliances that led to Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election and Uba Sani’s rise to power. Wakili wrote: “Whatever way you look at it, Mallam El-Rufai was betrayed by Tinubu and the APC. “Mallam Nasir El-Rufai was one of the principal bridge builders who helped Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu reach Aso Villa and Uba Sani emerge at Sir Kashim House.
