Free Press News ReporterFREDERIKSTED — Court documents filed this morning reveal new details in the early morning VIPD raid at Croixville Apartments that led to the arrest of 23-year-old Omani Abraham on felony illegal firearm and ammunition charges.
The search and arrest warrants issued by Magistrate Judge Yolan Brow Ross were originally targeted for another resident, Akeem Matthew.
A check with the VIPD Firearms Bureau confirmed Abraham holds no license to possess or carry a firearm or ammunition in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
POLICE MUGSHOT: Omani Abraham, 32, was arrested Monday, July 20, 2026, following the execution of an early morning search warrant at the Croixville Housing Apartments in St. Croix.
