Reflecting on God's work in the world, the Apostolic Nuncio noted that peace is often established through ordinary people faithfully carrying out their daily responsibilities. Describing the Eucharist as “a school of reconciliation,” the Nuncio said receiving Holy Communion should inspire Christians to become ambassadors of Christ's peace. Every Holy Communion sends us back into the world as ambassadors of Christ's peace,” he said. The Eucharistic celebration was attended by Ghana's sixth President of the Fourth Republic, John Dramani Mahama, who used the occasion to renew an invitation for Pope Leo XIV to visit Ghana. President Mahama also expressed gratitude to Pope Leo XIV for recognizing the commitment of the Ghanaian faithful.
