A 27-year-old man, Michael Movie, was on Tuesday, arraigned before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, for allegedly stealing 50 television sets, and money meant for their repairs. The defendant is standing trial before Magistrate Lateef Layeni, on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing. He alleged that the defendant conspired with others, now at large, to steal 50 different television sets which values are yet to be determined. The prosecutor also alleged that the defendant stole the sum of N50 million meant for the repairs of the television sets. Magistrate Layeni granted the defendant bail in the sum of one million naira, with two sureties in like sum.
