The Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo Sector Command, has flagged-off a 3-day special enforcement operation tagged “Operation Sanity” to reduce road crashes and promote safer driving habits in the state. The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Dahunsi, disclosed this in a statement issued in Ibadan on Tuesday by the Sector Public Enlightenment Officer, Chief Route Commander Busayo Oluwasola. He added that the goal of the operation was to significantly reduce road crashes on highways in Oyo State and across Nigeria. According to him, the operation targets major traffic violations identified as the leading causes of crashes on Nigerian roads. Dahunsi stressed that road safety remained a collective responsibility that required the cooperation of all road users.
