Activision has announced that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 will runs its open beta test from August 28 — September 1, 2026 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. Activision previously confirmed that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 will take full advantage of the PS5 Pro with various extra features, including upgraded PSSR and unlocked frame rate for VRR/120Hz. Meanwhile, the game’s multiplayer component will launch with 12 core maps and promises to deliver the “most authentic modern warfare gunplay yet.” The narrative portion of Modern Warfare 4 puts the spotlight on a war between North Korea and South Korea, with players introduced to a new character known as Private Park, while Captain Price will also return following the events of Modern Warfare 3. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for release in October for PS5, PC, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
