While several reports have suggested that the fitment factor could be 2.28x, 2.86x or even 3.25x, current estimates based on inflation and Dearness Allowance (DA) indicate that the fitment factor may be closer to 1.90–1.92. However, the final recommendation will be made by the 8th Pay Commission and approved by the central government.
