After spending a gorgeous afternoon out on Caddo Lake recently, I am officially rethinking my strategy of just casually floating around in the water. At first, I just heard whispers about a massive, car-sized creature lurking in the deep waters of Caddo Lake. Turns out, the legend of Cypress Cindy is actually super well-documented in Northwest Louisiana history! Locals quickly dubbed the monster "Cypress Cindy" (or "Cypress Bill," just in case the creature was a guy!). Besides, mysterious lake creatures aren't even a new concept for Caddo Lake.
