John Swinney said relations with Westminster had deteriorated over the last yearJohn Swinney has said he will push Andy Burnham for the powers to hold a second referendum on Scottish independence.
First Minister @JohnSwinney has congratulated Andy Burnham on his appointment as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Mr Swinney also called for the Scottish Parliament to receive greater economic powers, which he described as “vital”.
Mr Swinney said: “My Government will respect the UK Government and its responsibilities, but we expect that to be reciprocated.”
Mr Swinney said the Scottish Government’s position on individual developments would become clearer once climate compatibility assessments had been completed.
