Mr Swinney also called for the Scottish Parliament to receive greater economic powers, which he described as “vital”. Mr Swinney said: “My Government will respect the UK Government and its responsibilities, but we expect that to be reciprocated.” Mr Swinney said the Scottish Government’s position on individual developments would become clearer once climate compatibility assessments had been completed.
