Mokokchung, July 20 (MExN): The 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) on July 20 announced that it would remain in “suspended animation” until further notice, expressing displeasure with the Congress leadership over recent organisational decisions and warning of en masse resignation if an amicable solution is not reached. The committee said it had also submitted a memorandum to the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) President on July 20, detailing its grievances and seeking intervention. At the centre of the dispute is the leadership of the Mokokchung District Congress Committee (DCC). The committee further expressed disappointment over the selection of T Chalukumba Ao as the Congress candidate for the 28 Koridang AC bye-election held on April 9, 2026. Against this backdrop, the 28 Koridang ACCC said it had decided to remain in “suspended animation” until the NPCC and the Indian National Congress addressed its grievances.
