Kiphire, July 20 (MExN):The Seyochung Area Students' Union (SASU) has served a three-month ultimatum to the concerned department and executing agency for the completion of the long-pending PMGSY-III road project connecting Seyochung Town via New Monger, Old Monger and Seyochung Village. The Union stated that the poor condition of the road and slow pace of construction have affected daily life, with repeated landslides and road blockages disrupting connectivity. Highlighting a recent incident, the SASU said a dumper truck carrying construction materials for the Old Monger Baptist Church was stranded at Seyochung Village for five days following a landslide. The memorandum submitted to the department stated that after waiting for six days, villagers, led by the Village Council, cleared the blocked road themselves and restored connectivity.
