NSDMA issues thunderstorm alert for Nagaland

Kohima, July 20 (MExN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) on Monday issued a weather advisory warning of localised thunderstorms, lightning and heavy rainfall across several districts over the next four days.
For July 23, localised thunderstorms with lightning and light rainfall at scattered locations are expected over Chümoukedima, Longleng, Mon, Peren, Tseminyu, Tuensang and Zunheboto, with most other districts likely to receive light rain at isolated places or no significant weather warnings.
On July 24, the forecast said localized thunderstorms and lightning with light rainfall at scattered locations are expected over Kohima, Longleng, Meluri, Noklak, Wokha and Tuensang, while light rain at a few places is likely over Dimapur, Kiphire, Niuland, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu and Zunheboto.
The NSDMA has advised residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions, particularly during periods of thunderstorm activity, lightning, and localized heavy rainfall.
