SRINAGAR: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has introduced two new digital services on the RajmargYatra mobile application—an online Local Pass facility and the AI-enabled MargMitra Help Centre—to enhance services for National Highway users under the Government of India’s Digital India initiative.
According to NHAI, the new citizen-centric features are aimed at making National Highway travel more seamless by expanding digital services, eliminating manual documentation and providing faster access to commuter assistance.
The newly launched Local Pass feature enables eligible commuters to purchase monthly local toll passes digitally through the RajmargYatra app without visiting toll plazas.
Under the scheme, residents living within a 20-kilometre radius of an eligible toll plaza can obtain a digital Local Pass that allows unlimited travel through the respective toll plaza during the month.
Designed as a single-window interface, the platform enables National Highway users to obtain information, seek assistance and register grievances through a conversational interface.
