SRINAGAR: The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a 53-year-old Pakistani national attempting to infiltrate into Indian territory along the International Border (IB) in the Pargwal sector of Jammu during the intervening night of July 20 and 21, officials said. According to officials, BSF personnel deployed at Border Outpost (BOP) Malabela of the 134 Battalion, under the jurisdiction of Police Post Pargwal and Police Station Khour, noticed suspicious movement of an individual attempting to cross into India from the Pakistan side. However, the individual allegedly ignored the warning and continued advancing, following which BSF personnel apprehended him and took him to BOP Malabela for questioning. The BSF recovered several items from his possession, including a Pakistani National Identity Card, spectacles, cigarette packets, a lighter, tobacco, cake, mango biscuits, chocolates, a nail cutter and a wallet. The Pakistani national remains in BSF custody at BOP Malabela, while further investigation is underway.
