As the latest figures from Statistics Austria show, the past year was characterized by stagnant to slightly declining export momentum. Nevertheless, one thing remains constant: Upper Austria remains the undisputed powerhouse of domestic exports. Upper Austria Dominates the Trade BalanceIn 2025, just under a quarter of all Austrian goods exports (47.27 billion euros, or 24.9 percent) were accounted for by Upper Austria. It is followed by Styria (7.36 billion euros) and Vorarlberg (4.00 billion euros). Statistics Austria
