Kelowna NewsBC Nurses Union holds rally outside Kelowna General HospitalNurses rally at KGHCindy WhiteIf the honks and waves of people driving by are any indication, the BC Nurses Union has the public firmly behind them in their labour dispute with Health Employers Association. ​Union president Adriane Gear was in Kelowna to rally the troops on Monday afternoon. ​“BCNU has received more than 5,200 reports from nurses across British Columbia of intimidation, threats and interference,” said Gear. ​The union has filed an unfair labour practice application with the BC Labour Board over intimidation complaints. Kelowna General Hospital is the primary acute care hospital in the region and has had ongoing staffing shortages and service disruptions.
