His passion for the sciences led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University, followed by a Master of Science from Michigan State University. Armed with dedication and a thirst for knowledge, Martin established a distinguished academic career as a Paleobotany Professor at Michigan State University. His professional accomplishments and dedication to education were well-respected within the academic community. He is survived by his wife Janet Bordner, and their children: Brandon (Laura Ann Barron) Bordner, Sabrina Woodruff, and Bradley (Stacy) Bordner. Martin Alan Bordner will be fondly remembered for his commitment to education, his unwavering support for family and community, and the joy he brought to those around him.
