Meneses has a previous career outright, which means he can decline the assignment in favor of free agency. Meneses signed an offseason minor league deal and was selected onto the MLB roster in June. He was up and down from Triple-A Las Vegas a couple times after that, ultimately appearing in nine big league games. That was Meneses’ first MLB work since 2024, as he spent the ’25 season in Triple-A with the Mets.
