A 49-year-old man faces charges of impaired driving after Winnipeg police say he lost control of a speeding vehicle, causing extensive property damage.
The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Sargent Avenue and Balmoral Street, on the edge of downtown.
A Ford Mustang was speeding east on Sargent when the driver attempted to turn onto Balmoral and lost control, police said in a news release on Monday.
Winnipeg police allege the driver of the Mustang was impaired.
Officers spoke with the driver and say they determined he was impaired by alcohol, according to the police news release.
