KARE anchor Julie Nelson, who has been off the airwaves since June 15 following a serious boating accident, has provided an update to fans. Nelson, 54, and her husband Kurt Krumenauer, 55, were hospitalized after a crash on Balsam Lake at Pine Island in Wisconsin. In an application for a search warrant by Ramsey County officials, an officer wrote that Nelson had "significant injuries including broken bones and deep lacerations that will likely leave lasting scars and effect on her quality of life." The office said Krumenauer suffered possible injuries to the back, head and neck with lacerations. "I have so much to be grateful for, including the incredible support from everyone at KARE-11," Nelson said in her post.
