The Minnesota Twins struggled on the mound giving up seven home runs in their 13-4 series opening loss to the Guardians in Cleveland. Joe Ryan gave up eight runs, including six home runs over four innings of work and was tagged with the loss. Kody Funderburk and Tommy Nance each gave up one run over an inning of work out of the bullpen. The Twins and Guardians will continue their series on Tuesday evening with first pitch scheduled for 5:40 p.m. and full game coverage available on Twins.TV. Kendry Rojas is scheduled to be on the mound for Minnesota while Parker Messick counters for Cleveland.
