After a multi-day fitness hearing in June, Justice Jesse Razaqpur delivered his decision that Shaganash was unfit to stand trial on his charges, saying the man cannot make reality-based decisions or communicate with his lawyer. Shaganash was remanded to the care of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton and his future will be decided by the Ontario Review Board.
