Article contentThe city is making “slow down” lawn signs available to residents at a couple of locations while supplies last. “It is our hope that these signs serve as a visible reminder for motorists to slow down, particularly during the busy summer months when children are enjoying their school break and spending more time outdoors in our neighbourhoods,” Chad Martin, chair of the Neighbourhood Alliance of Brantford, said in a statement. “By displaying a slow down lawn sign, residents can help remind drivers to reduce their speed, raise awareness about road safety and contribute to making our streets safer for everyone.” Signs can be picked up free of charge at the city hall customer service desk, 58 Dalhousie St., Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the customer service desk at Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, 254 North Park St., Monday to Sunday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. They are only available to Brantford residents and those who want a sign are asked to provide photo identification that include their city address.
