Investing.com -- Monster Beverage was downgraded to Hold from Buy by analysts at Deutsche Bank, who said the energy drink maker's recent share outperformance has left its valuation reflecting expectations that are difficult to exceed despite the company's strong operational momentum.
Deutsche Bank said Monster Beverage continues to execute strongly across key growth drivers, but after the stock's recent rally, the risk-reward has become less favorable, with limited upside remaining unless the company delivers results that exceed already optimistic expectations.
Despite the downgrade, Deutsche Bank remained positive on Monster's long-term fundamentals and said its forecasts for fiscal 2026 and 2027 remain above Wall Street consensus.
They said the company's recent stock outperformance has been well deserved but now leaves less room for additional gains.
