LANSDOWNE – The 162nd Lansdowne Fair delivered a save Sunday, with sunny skies allowing the historic agricultural fair to end on a positive note. Article contentThe fair began on Thursday evening without a hitch, which continued through Friday, but Saturday delivered a disappointing day of rain. Sheila Blodgett, on the Lansdowne Fair board of directors, was positive about this year’s edition. The heavy, humid weather that had marked July had been rained away Saturday, to be replaced on Sunday with welcome sunny skies and fair temperatures in the low 20s. This was far from the fair’s first rodeo, and the dedicated Lansdowne Agricultural Society fair board knows the key is to offer something for everyone and not to pay too much attention to the skies.
