Article contentWarm sunshine and perfect tennis weather allowed for the High River Tennis Club to host the 3rd annual Friendship Match with the Filipino Calgary Tennis Club. Tournament Director Elaine Jenkinson introduced this year’s format: each round paired High River and Calgary players together, with partners changing every set. With all four courts in constant action and five rounds on the schedule, the High River facility was buzzing with energy until early afternoon. First prize went to Aris of the Filipino Calgary club, and second prize was awarded to Paul Auton of High River. The High River Tennis Club welcomes new players of all ages and skill levels — community tennis is thriving, and there’s always room for more.
