The cornerstone: licence contractThe single most critical tool for preventing and resolving disputes is an explicit, effective and enforceable licence contract. The current standard patent licence contract template was released by the CNIPA on 27 June 2023, together with the guidelines on common issues and dispute-prone matters in patent licensing. ConclusionPatent licensing disputes in China are complex and manageable, although no universal remedy exists for such issues.
