Thankfully, no one was injured, but a full investigation has been launched to find out what happened. The Office of Rail and Road and the Rail Accident Investigation Branch have been informed of the accident. The locomotive and its tender are now undergoing an assessment to find out the extent of the damage. There is no timescale by the SVR for 4930 Hagley Hall’s return to traffic.
