In a post on Facebook on Monday, July 20, UNAMA said journalists are facing serious threats, including the spread of misinformation and disinformation generated with the help of artificial intelligence, censorship, and increasing attacks against media workers. The mission added that declining support for independent media is also posing serious threats to the future of journalism that serves the public interest.
