We’ve been quite eager to hear more about the Call of Duty film adaptation ever since its announcement at CinemaCon this year. Well, our wish has now come true with a revelation about it from none other than director Peter Berg himself, who tweeted that it’s going to be set in the Modern Warfare universe when it releases on June 30th, 2028 after an appearance at FanaticsFest. Of course, our guesses on specifics beyond that are as good as yours with no other details available at this time. We did say that filming is likely to begin in the later part of this year, and that pre-production would likely wrap up by late 2027. In the meantime, the next entry in the franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, launches on October 23rd with a beta set for late August.
