Brockovich's comments come amid a rapidly expanding national debate over the growth of AI-powered data centers, which require vast amounts of electricity and, in many cases, water to cool servers.
"I woke up one morning and I had 30 emails ... from the same community regarding the same issues—data centers," Brockovich said.
"So, I created what's called BrockovichDataCenter.com where people, if they were having issues with data centers in their backyard, could self-report."
The website allows residents to submit reports about operational, proposed and under-construction AI-focused data centers.
The environmental advocate, who became internationally known after helping build a case against Pacific Gas & Electric over groundwater contamination in California, has increasingly focused her attention on data centers over the past several months.
