The police department says officers patrolling the downtown entertainment district heard multiple gunshots near Knapp and Water Street and reported seeing an Audi fleeing the scene. Hunter Meyer CBS 58/MCSOThe suspect vehicle was later located unoccupied near 12th and Walnut, according to police, and the driver- who was struck by the officers' gunfire- was found nearby. Police say one gun was located in the suspect vehicle, and another was found in the area. The injured officer, a 25-year-old woman with less than a year of service, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
