Srinagar, Jul 20: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday reviewed the situation following heavy rains, flash floods, and landslides in several districts of the Union Territory, speaking with senior officials and directing swift relief and infrastructure restoration in affected areas. In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said: "I spoke to Senior Officials today to assess the impact of heavy rains, flash floods, and landslides. I am deeply saddened by the loss of two lives in Doda, and my heart goes out to their families. "A tragic landslide caused by heavy rainfall in Poonch has resulted in the loss of seven precious lives. Senior Officials have been directed to extend immediate relief and all necessary assistance to those affected," Sinha said in another post on X.
