US LNG Feedgas Rebounds as Global Weather Supports Cargo Demand
[]
Natural Gas Inteligence News Feed
US LNG feedgas demand recovered Monday despite ongoing terminal maintenance, while international weather forecasts strengthened the near-term demand outlook for US cargoes.
US LNG exports totaled about 2.20 Mt during the week of July 13, down around 6% from 2.35 million tons the week before.
Asia received roughly 0.87 million tons, followed by Europe at 0.74 million tons, Africa at 0.29 million tons and the Americas at 0.22 million tons.
However, the remaining heat in Japan and northeastern China could continue to support regional natural gas-fired generation and spot LNG demand.
Europe’s weather outlook was less supportive in the immediate term but increasingly favorable for natural gas demand later in the forecast.
