Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 12, 2026, at approximately 8:21 p.m., a Missoula Police Department Officer was on routine patrol when he observed a red Kia Sorento come to a stop directly in front of his vehicle at a known drug house. The officer determined that the registered owner of the vehicle, 42-year-old Melissa Brooks, had a suspended driver’s license. Brooks then walked to the front of the officer’s patrol vehicle. While communicating with Brooks, dispatch advised the officer that Brooks was on probation. Upon removing Brooks from the vehicle, the officer observed a clear baggie containing a clear and white crystalline substance.
