EAST LANSING – The Michigan State field hockey team will travel to Miami (Oh.) on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m.On Friday, Michigan State played their first Big Ten match up against rival University of Michigan. Despite the strong performance of junior goalkeeper Lyra Gavino who had a season high of eight saves, the Spartans fell 5-0. For the Redhawks, freshman Malena Sabez leads goal scoring this season with five, including scoring the lone goal against No. Wearren and Sabez will play a big role in this matchup and test the Spartan defense.
