In many respects, NASA’s Lunar Innovation Park is not simply a space exploration initiative. In many ways, the Lunar Innovation Park resembles the development of an industrial park, port facility, or transportation hub on Earth. The Moon will require lifecycle project management, systems engineering, construction engineering, operations management, maintenance planning, and asset management practices on an unprecedented scale. The Lunar Innovation Park is envisioned as a system-of-systems in which multiple assets interact continuously throughout their operational lives. The Lunar Innovation Park follows the same logic.
