John Thelen of MSU’s Office of the Controller has been selected to participate in the 2025-26 cohort of the National Association of College and University Business Officers, or NACUBO, Emerging Leaders Program. “I am thrilled to announce the selection of assistant controller John Thelen to NACUBO’s Emerging Leaders Program,” said Lisa Frace, MSU senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. The 2025-26 NACUBO Emerging Leaders cohort, representing 69 higher education institutions across 31 states and Washington, D.C., will run through April 2026. The program is a key component of NACUBO’s ongoing professional development offerings for higher education finance and business professionals. “We look forward to helping these Emerging Leaders grow in their leadership capabilities to take back to their institutions.
