Germany claimed their first SailGP event win in Geneva, edging Australia and Switzerland in a tense final on Lake Geneva. The team, presented by Deutsche Bank, mastered light winds in the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix to take the trophy. Heil credited steady progress: “It’s part of the journey… that keeps pushing us forward.”The Swiss team reached their second final, cheered by thousands on home waters. “Bringing our championship to the heart of Switzerland has been incredibly special,” said SailGP CEO Sir Russell Coutts. The series moves to Cádiz, Spain, on 4-5 October for the penultimate round of the 2025 season, with four teams battling for the Grand Final.
