Yep, it’s been another hectic trade fair week, as I have spent the past few days down at Excel attending the 25th anniversary BLE show. Don’t get me wrong, there is still talk of ‘right-sizing’ some licensing operations and there continue to be casualties on all sides of the licensing community. Pretty much everyone’s a winner…Of course, all of the conversations at BLE are about 2025 – or even 2026/7/8 in some cases. GP Flair apparently has a new UK country manager – Edward Catchpole, who will be familiar to many in the licensing community from his days at Disney amongst others. He’s been away from the toy and licensing arena for a few years, but he’s returned – as so many toy and licensing people often do.
