Ryanair is set to cancel the flights of hundreds of thousands of passengers next week. The major disruption is due to French Air Traffic Controller (ATC) strikes, with staff walking out from October 7 to 10 over a dispute about pay and working conditions. However, France will not be solely affected as it will also impact any passengers flying over French airspace. Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary has warned that as many as 600 flights are likely to be cancelled. The French strike action was due to take place last month, but it was postponed after the government collapsed.
